The Financial Secretary's duties are outlined in the UAW Constitution, Article 40, Sections 4-11, and the Local Bylaws. In short, the Financial Secretary-Treasurer receives all dues, initiation fees, readmission fees, and all other income of the Local Union for any fund from any source and issues official receipts for same, as provided in the UAW Constitution. On behalf of the membership, and along with the Trustees, leadership, and staff, the Financial Secretary acts as the ethical fiduciary of the locals finances and business matters.
